In depth
Verdict
The penultimate event on the card can go to Mystic Forest who can put his recent fall behind him to open his account over timber, with Jollyolly and Kaikovra sure to be in the shake-up. Charlie Mann's gelding fell at the fifth on his hurdles bow at Perth two weeks ago, a surprising occurrence as he had schooled really well at Lambourn. A useful stayer on the level for Brian Meehan, for whom he was successful three times, Mystic Forest will relish the two and a half mile trip here and can add to Charlie Mann's good record at the Lincolnshire venue. Jollyolly has obvious claims on his recent form but has to give the selection 12lbs, while Kaikovra will appreciate the step up in trip but would not want any more rain to hinder his chance. Jonjo O'Neill has been a bit quiet lately and Mylo was a beaten favourite at Perth-he in contrast to Kaikovra, would benefit from any further downpours. All in all we feel that it is worth taking on the penalised Jollyolly with Mystic Forest.
