Verdict
Monkstown sets the standard but that isn't saying a great deal so we'll go down the obvious route and put Sisella forwards. Alan Swinbank has few peers in this sphere and his runners are usually well supported. The selection is unlikely to come into her own for a few years given that her dam won the Ulster National and is a half-sister to a Midlands National winner but she may still be fast enough to take this. Russian Lad makes some appeal on paper but Kim Bailey sends out very few bumper winners and he's consequently opposed. Sue Smith isn't renowned for winners of bumpers either but she sent out a newcomer to win at Uttoxeter recently and Stagecoach Pearl has to be given a second look. Seattle Sound is another worth considering with Graeme Lee in the plate but Frascati Park is a more obvious contender given both his trainer and his owner/jockey's records in these races. The market should tell us more but our selection, Sisella, is a reasonable starting point.
