Verdict
Winning bumper Lipa K showed his first sign of ability over timber at Leicester but Captain Jack is 0-17. Take Centre Stage did better on heavy ground at Kelso but ASA (NAP) ran well for a long way at Hereford on just her third start over timber. Philip Kirby's charge had run very well at Leicester in November and a repeat would probably be good enough. Lightening Gesture, a winner on the Flat, was beaten a long way into third at Fontwell.
