In depth

Verdict

If Miss Conway can reproduce something approaching her best away from her beloved Hexham then she's entitled to go well off what remains a feasible mark. However, this does represent a rise in class for the consistent mare and MINELLA FORFITNESS makes most appeal as a course and distance winner who arrives in good form with conditions to suit. He was just denied the last day, prior to which he'd landed a decent chase at this venue and trip and should be in the shake-up. Highbury High, way below form on his first run back after six months off, should do better now but Gold Ingot looks a more viable danger. Like the selection, he's a course and distance winner and should remain competitive despite a 6lb rise for a recent Southwell success.
