Verdict

APACHE BLUE ran well enough on his chasing debut at Musselburgh when third behind Storm Prospect. He should improve for that experience and gets a tentative vote in a wide-open contest. Ginger's Lad won at Sedgefield last May and has finished in a place on four occasions since. He has to be included in calculations, along with Home She Goes, who produced a better effort when third here on only her second start over fences. Quintus has a chance on his third at Towcester back in October and Mad Professor is back over fences after finishing runner-up in a selling hurdle last month.
