In depth

Verdict

BOLD PUNT is given another chance and is fancied to get the better of Just Playfull and Red Dynamite. The selection's future was always likely to lie over fences so it was encouraging to see him gain a win and a second from his three starts over timber. However, he has completely lost his way since being switched to chasing and is now 18lbs lower than when runner-up in a handicap hurdle having been dropped by 7lbs following his run at Leicester where he was pulled up. Quite a bit has to be taken on trust but if the headgear has the desired effect then he has more than enough ability to comfortably account for these opponents. Just Playfull ran one of the better races of his career when third to a progressive individual at Leicester and enters calculations on that form whilst Red Dynamite has had just the two starts in this sphere and has been knocking on the door. Chicago Alley has bits and pieces of form which gives her claims but was well held by Just Playfull last time and preference is for Bold Punt.
