In depth

Verdict

Despite carrying top weight against handicappers the novice Seafield Bogie really has caught the eye just lately and he is taken to complete a hat-trick at the main expense of Honest Endeavour and Assumetheposition. The selection has really enjoyed the recent dry spell and rattled up back to back wins over this sort of trip at Towcester on his last two starts. He jumps well and won by the proverbial country mile last time and he looks up to taking this small field affair. Honest Endeavour put up a brave performance to get up and win over shorter than this at Hexham last time but on this faster ground he does not look a backable position. Assumetheposition may be the biggest threat to the selection. A course and distance winner, he has never scored on faster than good ground so he wouldn't want it getting too quick but he has a nice racing weight and we can see him running a big race. Of the others, Show Me The River would have a good chance if back to his best, but is out of sorts at present and the confident choice here is Seafield Bogie.
