Verdict

MIDNIGHT GINGER made a winning start in bumpers over a shorter trip at Newbury last month. The third has won since and Alan King’s filly may prove up to this level. Hollymount Holly also made a winning debut under Rules when scoring at Hereford, with Misstree Song beaten five lengths, but she steps up in class while several of these came up short in Listed company last time. That list includes disappointing favourite Midnight Callisto, who finished behind sixth-placed Roseisaroseisarose at Cheltenham, while both White Hart Lady and The Getaway Star failed to figure in this grade on their latest starts. But the latter’s compatriot and newcomer Panic Attack is out of a bumper winner and has to come into the reckoning representing Willie Mullins’ powerful yard as she could have been found an easier opportunity than this back home in Ireland.
