In depth

Verdict

This is a messy race as the top three - Blue Ribbon, Clemento and Kingofthecotswolds - can have a case argued for them on their best form but all arrive on the back of disappointing performances and seem best left at present. Blue Ribbon seems the most likely to revive but AL KHERB rates a safer option. John Quinn's gelding is hardly bombproof, having not obliged over timber since February 2019 but is performing quite solidly, has been nudged down a couple of pounds and Tom O'Brien is a rare booking for the yard. New Zealander is shaping quite well and appeals off bottom weight, whilst Bold Reason is worth a second glance on stable debut.
