        Verdict

        ANY GIVEN DAY will be too good for Moment Present and Alesandro Mantegna in this novice event and is taken to add to his winning tally. The selection was rated as high as 80 on the level when trained by David Simcock and has won both his starts over hurdles for Donald McCain. His latest win at Uttoxter was impressive and even though he is a four-year-old carrying a double penalty he looks a class above his rivals. Moment Present is another four-year-old with a double penalty to carry which is going to make life very tough. He does look like an improver so any market moves should be noted. Alesandro Mantegna has less experience than most but he did catch the eye when second to King Keano at Stratford last time out and is open to further improvement so warrants respect. Any Given Day though looks the class act in the race and can add to his winning tally.
