Verdict

LEGENDS LASS looks an interesting contender despite a 6lb higher mark than when held at Huntingdon; the shortlist of dangers is made up of Ravenscar and recent winner Take It There. The latter must be of interest given that she won under very similar conditions here last time out. That was her best effort for some time and although she has a 7lb penalty today she has earned it. However we prefer Legends Lass who is open to further improvement now stepped up in trip. A former winning point-to-pointer, this daughter of Midnight Legend has improved for the application of a tongue tie and should have conditions to suit. Wherrimon was still in touch when being brought down at Towcester but he has a little to prove on the ground, course and distance winner Ravenscar looks fairly treated, whilst My Matilda needs to improve markedly for the first-time blinkers. Toulouse Express has plenty of experience on his side and the course and distance winner has run well off this sort of mark as recently as last month. However he comes here in poor form and so with less to prove it is Legends Lass who is taken to lead them home.
