In depth

Verdict

Jamaican Flight is a standing dish at the track and will no doubt have his supporters here today. The front-runner may however find one or two too good on this occasion. Proper Squire relished the change from racing on a softer surface and clearly, this ex-stayer on the flat is one to note. Devil's Run is a useful sort who would arguably need it softer but that said, he is very much one to keep on the right side of. Queens Pageant, Terdad and Pillar of Fire all have bits and pieces of form but none of these are consistent enough to suggest lumping on.The TEAMtalk selection is Gimmick. Formerly with Venetia Williams, he looked a progressive type in his two victories at Market Rasen. If he is to progress to bigger things, he has to win today.
