In depth
Formwatch
The Last Fling (IRE) Generally disappointing last season, although was highly tried; chances if back to his best, which includes a 24l win in Haydock's De Vere Gold Cup in February 2000.
Murt's Man (IRE) Impressive when beating Rightsaidfred by 11l at Wincanton in January; disappointing at Newcastle and in the Scottish Grand National subsequently, but has always been highly regarded by connections and there could still be some improvement to come.
Spanish Main (IRE) Easy winner of a novices' handicap chase at Uttoxeter in February, but well beaten in Aintree and Ayr Nationals afterwards; this trip looks ideal.
Hescondido (FR) Best runs last year came when placed in decent company at Towcester and Haydock; has shown his best form on softer ground than he is likely to encounter here.
No More Hassle (IRE) The only course winner in the race, but form overall is rather inconsistent; has a good chance if running to his best.
Around The Gale (IRE) Won handicap chase at Kempton last November; below form in first-time blinkers at Fontwell on last outing in March, but connections are persevering with the headgear here.
