Verdict
This looks a weak event in which it is safe to draw a line through most of them, including Nichol Fifty, Lady Inch and Jazz du Forez. Old Tim has topweight and a long absence to overcome, while Cindesti surely cannot overcome a similarly lengthy absence. So, Timeless Chick and Colonial Rule would appear to have it between them. The latter, a winner in selling company at Catterick in February 2001, has only had four subsequent outings, and would have been closer to his Newton Abbot conqueror Ellamine but for sprawling at the last. The softer ground should be in his favour, but Timeless Chick gets 9lbs and will line up on the back of a recent outing at Hereford. Three times a winner on the Flat, John Spearing's charge was fifth here in October, and has also had a spin on the level at Brighton. Woefully one paced, the longer trip should bring out his stamina, and TEAMtalk make him the selection.
