In depth

Verdict

PINEROCK is thought good enough to win a race of this nature, while both Toxic Asset and Quidam Blue come from stables in form so warrant plenty of respect. The selection caught the eye on his second run when finishing second to Seasonselite at Worcester earlier in the month. He was not beaten far that day and, with further improvement still to come, he is sure to go close. Newcomers Toxic Asset and Quidam Blue both come from trainers that like a tilt in the ring so the betting market will be the best guide to their chances, while Gaelic Prince ran well to finish third of 12 at Hexham on his third start and continues to improve so is another to note. Pinerock, however, has the services of Tony McCoy so will be receiving plenty of assistance form the saddle and is the form pick.
