Verdict
Magic Route, Royal China and Assumetheposition look the three for consideration and we shall stick with Royal China. Royal China is far from the most impressive of horses but he jumps from fence to fence and with a much under-rated jockey in the plate, there is enough for us to go on in what is a modest contest. Magic Route has been consistent in recent months but the handicapper has stuck him up 17lb for a win at Southwell and this could be described as harsh. Assumetheposition is a regular in modest events of this nature and should run his usual race. Auditor has some bits and pieces of form that are noteworthy but is scarcely open to improvement. Spanchil Hill is still a maiden after 13 starts. Royal China is at least in form so we shall nominate accordingly.
