Verdict
Spuradich is preferred to Kings Quay and Everest. Rated 104 over hurdles, Spuradich sets the standard in this race despite folding tamely at Towcester on his most recent start. There are plenty of examples of flat horses that have not been able to cut it over hurdles but the ex-Cumani horse should not be discounted too readily after one very public flop. Kings Quay has lost his way on the flat but was a fair miler on his day. Effective on any going, he has to be given a decent chance if taking to hurdling. Everest is a prolific performer in claimers on the level but at nine years of age, it looks a little late in the day to be going hurdling. Seattle Robber would have a bit to do on flat ratings but he ran encouragingly at Hamilton on his most recent start and he is watched in the market. The remainder appear to have had their chances and are hard to fancy. Spuradich is given another chance in a race that could throw up a few future winners.
