In depth
Verdict
One Five Eight may still be well treated judged on his hurdles form and he can follow up his Kelso win, while Sunny South East, Blackergreen and El Andaluz can all go well. The selection won off a mark of 105 over hurdles, and though consistency has not thus far been his strong point, he is still 2lb lower than that mark over fences. He does have to carry a bit racing weight here though, which is a worry, but we will just side with him. Sunny South East won over a similar trip at Folkestone last month and was going well until spooked by a loose horse at Huntingdon last time. Provided she jumps better she can be thereabouts. Blackergreen is interesting on his first start of the season and his chasing debut. The handicapper has not exactly been kind to him though, and he may have to wait for another day to win his first chase. Of the remainder El Andaluz probably wants faster ground and is not certain to stay, while Sconced is a plodder who would raise a few eyebrows if he was good enough to do better than a place. But One Five Eight is unexposed over fences and can score.
