Verdict
The only race on Turf today can go the way of the frustrating FLAG OFFICER. Not beaten far by the classy Sea Moon in a York handicap in 2011, he reappeared here after a long break a fortnight ago and started a short-priced favourite but pulled much too hard and faded over that 1m2f trip. With that under his belt and today's distance more in his favour he looks another winner for Godolphin. Stablemate Les Troyens has been racing in sprints and was beaten when a short-priced favourite on his only start over this trip in France while the yard's two other representatives, Terdaad and My Freedom, are making their debuts in Dubai and may need the outing. Mike De Kock had a tremendous day here on Thursday and today's only entry Specific Gravity, a winner for Sir Henry Cecil at Newmarket in August, has to be of interest along with Nawwaar, who had some decent form for John Dunlop and made a promising start here last month. Trojan Nights has won twice over the trip here though both times on Tapeta.
