        Verdict

        Valiant Prince led home a Godolphin 1-2-3 in a Group 2 over the track and trip three weeks ago, the former finding the best turn of foot to get up close home and thwart Dubai Future with the odds-on OTTOMAN FLEET (NAP) a close third. Freescape, San Donato and Ursa Minor were all behind and though there's unlikely to be much between the front trio again William Buick's mount has more scope than his two main rivals and is 4lb better off with the winner. Alfareeq, a surprise winner of the Group 1 Jebel Hatta in March, hasn't quite been in that kind of form subsequently but Shelir has been staying on strongly over shorter.
