        Verdict

        Aquaman scored twice on Turf for Roger Varian but has no experience on Dirt. Shanty Star, one of four from the Bouresly yard, broke well and led from halfway when beating stablemate Tabarak over 7f last week but has never raced over a trip this short in 22 starts. The runner-up is also better over an extra furlong but this is the right trip for Rich And Famous, who completed a double on the track in December. But the latter was beaten over four lengths behind RANAAN (NAP) here a month ago and, though better off at the weights, the winner looked very progressive and can defy a 5lb rise.
