Light The Lights won this a year ago, when the early pace was very slow, and continued to run well at the top level. However, he has the worst of the draw here and EARNSHAW (NAP), who finished powerfully into third last year, can take his measure and gain his first victory since his two-year-old days. Twice placed at Group level following last year's run, he couldn't get close to Jack Hobbs in the Sheema Classic over 1m4f but this is his trip and he deserves a change of fortune. Emotionless has to be on the short-list as he returned to action on this card a year ago to run well in a Group 2 before two really good efforts and looks certain to be winning soon. Cape Byron has only run four times and may not have the experience but Benbati won the Group 3 Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot and there should be more to come.
