        Verdict

        Ali Rashid Al Rahyi has been in excellent form and Almoreb followed a comfortable victory at Jebel Ali with another on the same track on Friday. Lytham St Annes hasn't won for almost two years but has dropped to a fair mark as a consequence and will be better for his run in November though Doug Watson also saddles Mayaadeen, a track and trip winner in November but disappointing next time. Rashed Bouresly completed a double at Jebel Ali on Friday with Adrie de Vries gaining a smooth victory on Alla Mahlak, who defied a wide draw. He's up 5lb but that was his return to action so there's every chance of further progress. Stable companion SHANTY STAR found 1m1f too far at the same fixture having finished runner-up over today's course and distance earlier. Beaten just a length in a Listed handicap here a couple of years ago he's taken to keep the stable's run going.
