        Verdict

        Juveniles shouldn't have too many problems against older horses at this time of the year and FACTORY TIME, a close fifth to Caspar Netscher in the Group 2 Mill Reef for Mick Channon, looks in a different league to these though he's never raced on an all-weather surface. His trainer has made a blistering start to the new season in Dubai as has Doug Watson, who saddles the likely danger Al Sharood, a winner for Godolphin at Newmarket as a juvenile and on Deauville's Fibresand for John Hammond this August. The expensive Surfer was a disappointment for Godolphin this year and Janood didn't recapture his juvenile promise though he mainly ran in decent company.
