The Australia-trained Buffering rarely runs outside of Grade 1 company at home and is a regular winner. His short-head defeat of Lucky Nine at Moonee Valley in October was a first-class run though the latter is usually no match for PENIAPHOBIA in Hong Kong. Tony Cruz' charge has been amongst the top sprinters around for a long time and though beaten around four lengths by Not Listenin'tome at Sha Tin in October he was conceding 13lb and should reverse the form. He started favourite for this a year ago but was caught by Sole Power, who lines up again. There should be little between them again but this time the runner-up is expected to hang on. Ertijaal has been in superb form in handicaps and was conceding 13lb when beating Fityaan comfortably in February though he's taking a big step-up in class but Goldream had Muthmir a couple of lengths behind in the Prix De L'Abbaye and will be better for his run behind Fityaan last month. Lady Shipman is obviously very speedy having been beaten a neck in a Keeneland Grade 1 in October while Bel Canto is a genuine Group-class sprinter in Japan.
