Verdict

A big run from Real Steal in the previous race would point to the chances of DURAMENTE, a Grade 1 winner in Japan who goes from strength-to-strength. He would prefer the ground to firm up but his overall form is equal to that of Postponed and he's a more attractive price. Roger Varian's King George winner came here for the Group 2 Dubai City Of Gold on Super Saturday and cruised to victory over today's rival Dariyan. He's a high-class performer who has won on all types of going and will be very difficult to beat. Highland Reel has won Group 1's at Arlington and Sha Tin and looks the main threat to the principals as though Gailo Chop won the Group 1 McKinnon at Flemington in October that was over 1m2f and he's never been this far.
