In depth

Verdict

David Livingston, whose last run for Aidan O'Brien was in the Irish St Leger Trial over 1m6f at the Curragh, won a Group 2 over a mile as a juvenile and Mike De Kock tries him over this shorter trip. The stable look to have a better chance, however, with Anaerobio, another who has been racing over further though he did run well over this trip on his return to action here last month. Pied A Terre was a classy performer in Australia and will have benefited from his run behind Rerouted last month and Kieren Fallon keeps the ride. Spirit Of Battle ran well over 6f in a minor handicap two weeks ago and is well weighted but this looks a good opportunity for KENNY POWERS. Tom Dascombe's charge hasn't had much racing but likes it around here and produced another very good effort in a stronger handicap than this won by Time Prisoner last month when Field Of Dream was behind. Fanunalter has yet to find his form but has been running in much better class over longer trips.
