Verdict
Maulesden May is still 4lb higher than when scoring over track and trip in August but makes more appeal than stablemate Sebastian's Wish. Habitual front-runner Golden Jeffrey is fit from hurdling, as is Tomorrow's Angel. Kajaki has also been jumping this winter but possibly needed his fourth at Pontefract last month when starting favourite. Apterix is very versatile but couldn’t win dropped into a seller here last time. FOUR KINGDOMS looks to have the beating of Golden Jeffrey on last year’s form and could be the one to beat if the ground continues to dry out – he has a good record here and a strong pace would suit.
