        Verdict

        Spirit Of Coniston is yet to shine on the turf and so we will take a chance on Sharp Hat bouncing back at a price. The selection has amazingly had over 200 starts which is a feat in itself and unfortunately his last two runs suggest that he may be losing his love for the game. However it may just be that the ground was too quick for him on those runs and he also made a real hash of the starts. Assuming he breaks on terms today, he could run a big race in this competitive claimer. Spirit Of Coniston is very consistent on the all-weather but has only recorded one victory in 16 starts on the turf. Rothesay Dancer needs to bounce back to form whilst Demetraf ran well last time out but isn't the most consistent. Mystery Pips won his last race on the turf before a poor run last time out and if back on song must rate a threat, however Sharp Hat knows how to win and we'll give the old boy another chance.
