Verdict

Leslingtaylor's defeat of Marodima looks pretty useful form now and he can prove too strong for Jack The Blaster and Stromstad. John Quinn's talented and remarkably versatile performer has a hefty penalty for that Listed Aintree win but it was hard not to be impressed with the performance. The runner-up has undoubtedly improved since but he barely touched a twig and won with any amount in hand. He's sure to have done plenty of work since falling at Cheltenham in a race won by Moon Over Miami and should take the beating. Jack The Blaster won his sole start over fences but that form is a world away from what's required and this trip is short of his best. Geton and The Duke's Speech have questions to answer but Stromstad is interesting. He clearly has plenty to prove but did win a Grade 3 hurdle as a juvenile and could surprise if retaining his ability. For the winner though, it's hard to get away from Leslingtaylor.
