Esoterica finally fulfilled earlier potential when landing a handicap here over a mile last month and should not be inconvenienced by the drop back to seven furlongs so David Barron's gelding gets the vote to defy his 7lb penalty and follow up at the main expense of Almowj and Thornton Princess. The last mentioned remains a maiden but has slipped to a decent mark so cannot be discounted but is hard to back with any confidence given her overall record. Kevin Ryan's Myths And Verses has not seemingly progressed from two to three, while Mandarin Rocket is seemingly held by the selection on running here last time. Almowj has run to a consistent level of form in all three starts of late and is another to consider but Esoterica won with plenty in hand last time and is taken to follow up.
