Verdict
Winning point-to-pointer Blackwater King has been placed five times over regulation fences and was still travelling well in the lead when falling at Sedgefield though it was too far out to determine whether he would have won or not. AYE WELL looked a certain future winner when runner-up at Newcastle, where Kai Broon was a long way behind, but weakened quickly on his next visit there and that wasn't his running. In the hope that he's over whatever ailed him he could prove too good for these. Cousin Guillaume finished third in that latter event but was beaten a long way while Yourholidayisover, who scored at Carlisle in May, has hardly picked his feet up subsequently. Shine A Diamond completed a double when finishing alone here in November but is another who has performed badly since.
