Verdict
Robin Des Foret’s run over the Bank fences at Punchestown last time can probably be ignored. Captain Cattistock stays well but was pulled up on his belated reappearance at Haydock. HIGHLAND HUNTER (NAP) beat last year’s winner Mighty Thunder over hurdles on this card two year ago on similar terms and again finished ahead of Lucinda Russell’s stayer when runner-up in the Welsh Grand National in December. He’d won at Sandown the time before and is the one to beat here. The Wolf is clearly improving and looks the danger providing he lasts home.
