In depth
Verdict
HEARTBREAK has nothing in hand of Insolenceofoffice on their meeting at Redcar but a proven ability to handle the ground earns Richard Fahey's horse the vote. This well-bred son of Iffraaj had proved expensive to follow having been a beaten favourite on his first three starts but he's found his feet at last and is a pacey type who should prove hard to peg back. Softening ground clearly suits and he can make it two out of two in his personal battle with Insolenceofoffice. The latter remains a maiden but can't be crabbed for pulling clear of the third at Wolverhampton, however he does look more a six furlong animal and this ground is a new barrier to be overcome. Course and distance winner Crimson Knot warrants respect having placed off this mark at Chester and he won't mind conditions while Saxonette is weighted to get closer to Heartbreak this time.
