Verdict
WESTERN STARS (NAP) couldn’t match the finishing speed of the odds-on Post Impressionist at Ayr two weeks ago but that was an improvement on his first run in the Wood Ditton at Newmarket and both Celestial Star and Aighear are held on the form book. His yard is in good form and the Almanzor gelding can make it third-time lucky. Million Thanks had wind surgery in January and showed ability in both starts last year while bumper winner Ri Na Farraige could be interesting having a first run on the Flat, though will surely need further. Bramham ran green at Southwell but was still only beaten a length and better is expected now.
