Verdict

Bendershaan is the class act here and give weight and a beating to Considine and Rouge Et Noir. Mark Johnston's five-year-old was running off a mark of 90 last season and so does a appear very well handicapped at the moment. He found the twelve furlongs last time on the short side and is better judged on his previous second to Jeepstar over the trip at Beverley. A repeat of the effort should suffice against this opposition. Considine landed a Redcar contest off a slightly higher mark at the start of last month. He has been a bit disappointing since but there have been excuses and at his best he would be a major threat. Rouge Et Noir is closely matched with Considine on that Redcar running and he didn't do too badly last time when fifth to Celtic Carisma, he should be involved in the finish. At the time of writing Ostfanni was down to run at Carlisle on Sunday, if he does take his chance here he could prove better than the only other runner Speightstown. However if running up to his best Bendarshaan will be very difficult to beat and he gets our vote.
