In depth

Verdict

Glory Fighter, a winner here last year, looked ready to strike again when narrowly beaten at Carlisle last month. Iain Jardine also runs course regular Never Dark but, along with Good Luck Fox, he finished behind Sound Of Iona at Haydock nine days ago. The latter was due to run here last night, however. Having been gelded in April, City Walk is worth a market check on his reappearance but REBEL AT DAWN is a tough sprinter who has shown up well in decent company this year and he’s overdue another success. He does have three lengths to find with Digital on York running but is 6lb better off and has the plum draw with his old rival on the outside.
