      Verdict

Former John Gosden inmate, Rangi, and the consistent Skytrain head the weights but it would not surprise if Richard Fahey's recent Catterick scorer, La Luz Del Sol, is sent off as market leader. That was a much improved effort from the filly, highlighted by a powerful late surge that saw her comfortably home but she will need to improve again and SKYTRAIN is just preferred. The sole course and distance winner on show, Mark Johnston's Exceed And Excel colt has progressed pleasingly this season and a recent close fourth in a better race than this at Lingfield indicated that progression is ongoing. Trip and ground are fine and he can return to winning ways here. Rangi should be suited by the return to 7f and David Simmonson takes off a useful 7lb.
