      Verdict

Not the worst seller in history but with several trying headgear for the first time the advice is to tread with caution; the pin comes down on IDENTITY ahead of Little Tokyo and Digit. The last-named is very consistent and has gone close in this grade before. A repeat of his recent Hamilton second would put him in the frame however it is not easy to see something improving past him. The prime suspect is Identity who drops in class for the first time today. The highest-rated in the field, he has shown in the past that he handles this ground and looks worth siding with. Svindal tries blinkers, as does The Kilkenny Kat, whilst Abuelito John tries a visor. Nothing To Worry is quickly dropped in grade, as is Kabougg. Little Tokyo has bits and pieces of form that makes it of interest, whilst Nchike was bought back in after winning a Thirsk seller and his trainer thinks a bit of him. Tough stuff, but Identity gets the nod.
