      Verdict

      Doomsday went close here last month but has been plying his trade in classified races and is only 1-21. Chinese Spirit wasn’t winning out of turn over track and trip two runs ago but was only third at Hamilton 11 days ago and is a pound higher back here. WAR DEFENDER has run a couple of sound races over 1m1f here recently and was third in between at Doncaster. He is 0-18 on Turf but his turn may finally have come around.
