In depth

Verdict

This looks a good opportunity for the Mark Johnston-trained newcomer MISTER ANGRY who is taken to get the better of Pallantes Cross and Dancing Poppy. This does not look a strong race and the yard do well with their juveniles here. The stable are in good form and this Cape Cross colt might just be up to making a winning introduction to the racecourse. Mark Johnston also sends Pallantes Cross to post here and the market may well provide the clues in relation to their respective chances, but he was well beaten on his debut at Haydock, albeit on soft ground, and he will need to show significant improvement if he is to get his head in front here. Dancing Poppy ran a race full of promise on her debut at Nottingham and Mick Channon sends her a long way north in search of some prize money; she will not need to improve a great deal to get competitive. Lutine Bell hails from the Sir Mark Prescott yard and unless the market suggests otherwise he is probably best watched on his racecourse bow. Mark Johnston looks to hold the key to this race and Mister Angry can put a smile on his face.
