In depth
Verdict
TAZBAR leaps off the page here and Keith Reveley's 158-rated hurdler can make a smooth transition to chasing in a weak race. With the benefit of a recent run under his belt the selection should be able to win this race even if he is nowhere near his best. Whilst his rating over hurdles may flatter him slightly, there is no doubt that this seven-time winner is the classiest in this race. The switch to fences may be as much down to a problem with where to place the horse over hurdles as he isn¿t top-class, however if he jumps adequately he'll win. Strobe is a course winner but not really bred for fences, whilst Doodlebop may do better over fences but he will certainly need to. Of more interest is course winner Logans Run. Howard Johnson has his horses in good form and he already has experience of fences which will be in his favour on this return to action. Benbradagh completes the field but he has had his jumping problems and will need to be foot-perfect against a rival such as Tazbar who is fancied to prevail.
