Verdict

No recent winning form to consider and even Weetentherty's victory over track and trip in October, when Saxonette was well beaten, came in soft ground. Code Six went close at Hamilton last time with Here Now And Why back in third but that was also in testing going and the speculative vote goes to handicap debutant COMPTON HEIGHTS. He finished a bit closer at Hamilton a fortnight ago and has more scope for improvement than the rest of today's opposition. Quaroma has deservedly tumbled down the weights as she's been in woeful form but is good enough to figure on her best efforts.
