In depth

Verdict

Thomas Cranmer has been raised 6lb for winning over track and trip but the three-year-old has scope for further progress. Glengarry went close in a lower grade at Ayr on his return with Chaplin Bay back in fifth though remains 9lb higher than last season’s course and distance success. But LUIS VAZ DE TORRES won over today’s trip at Catterick last month and this looks no tougher despite a 4lb rise and he gets the vote to go in again.
