      Verdict

Jordan Vaughan rode the winner of the inaugural race last year and is on board Van Mildert this time. A winner over hurdles last May, he returned to the Flat with a victory at Ayr but couldn't cope with a 5lb rise at Ripon last weekend. Joe Doyle is one of the more experienced riders here and the versatile Roc De Prince has won over hurdles, fences and on the level. He won a better class race than this over the trip at Catterick last month then only just failed to defy a 6lb weight rise at Redcar. STONEHAM wins her share on the Flat and over timber and was suited by the easier ground when scoring over 1m6f at Redcar so a 3lb rise shouldn't be too much of a problem and she can go in again. Byronegetonefree had shown absolutely nothing before scoring on Tapeta at Newcastle where he was always travelling like a winner so he's very difficult to weigh up, though in that kind of form would have to be a threat.
