In depth
Verdict
A first-time visor will hopefully help Shatter Resistant to lose his maiden tag, with Red Wings and Rope Bridge seen as the main dangers. The selection has had more chances than most, having had nine career outings already, and Mick Channon's gelding has been placed in seven of them. A close second to Regal Rhythm earlier in the campaign, he was not that far behind the useful Fol Hollow here in July, and those pieces of form make him the one to beat, with the drop into selling company and a visor to help his cause further. Red Wings also drops into this grade for the first time, and is a bit of a threat based on his close second to Hadaf at Thirsk the time before last, while Rope Bridge has already had his sights lowered this term without success. Victorian Princess hails from a stable that always does well with its juveniles, but she too has failed to shine, and all in all, Shatter Resistant is the one to beat.
