Verdict
Champ Royal floundered in heavy ground at Hexham having won at the same track earlier but Native Fighter went close over a shorter trip at Cartmel back in August. RICKETY GATE (NAP) was only third over track and trip last time but that was in a more competitive handicap than this and can return to winning ways with Nicky Richards’ yard back among the winners in the last week or so. The Blame Game scored at Sedgefield early in the year while Misscarlett finished second when last seen over these hurdles.
