In depth
Verdict
Not a lot of form to go on with these maidens, but of the three with racecourse experience, ANDALEEP is the stand-out. He showed some improvement on his second outing when stepped up to 7f at Leopardstown and with further progression, should be able to take this. Of the unraced contenders, Cruciatus may prove to be the best of these in time, but that is likely to be over much further, and Aidan O’Brien’s Antilles is a more likely contender to feature here, given his pedigree, along with the impeccably bred Harpo Marx from the same stable. Excelcius has plenty of speed in his breeding and if he’s ready first time out, he could make the frame. Biltmore showed some improvement on his second outing, but will need to find a lot more if he’s going to be involved in the finish here.
