In depth

Verdict

Star Neuville, an impressive winner between the flags at Loughrea in March, will have found fast ground and the two mile trip against him on his bumper debut at Galway in August and this should be more to his liking. RAZ DE MAREE reverts to a bumper after a fine run over timber at Punchestown where he wasn't far behind Ferris Bueller. He was beaten less than two lengths on his debut at Kilbeggan in May and should be good enough for this. Alderwood was backed as if defeat were out of the question on his debut in a huge field at Navan in September but showed his inexperience and that will have done him the world of good. He's A Delight, a triple winner in points, didn't exactly shine on his bumper debut at Galway and should do better when faced with a set of obstacles.
