There should be plenty of future winners coming out of this beginners' event. Dual Grade 1-winning hurdler BACARDYS was only third on his chasing bow a year ago then fell at Leopardstown before falling again over hurdles at Cheltenham. He's only seven so has time on his side as has the year younger Any Second Now, runner-up to Footpad in two Grade 1's over fences at Leopardstown before slightly disappointing in a Listed race at Cheltenham. Burgas has some smart form to his credit though has only won once in 19 starts but Paul Nolan has a couple of promising types in Monotype, who makes his chasing debut after victories on the Flat and over timber, and Discorama, another first-timer over fences and runner-up in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham. Impact Factor, runner-up to Hardline in a Grade 2 novice hurdle here, can also make his mark over fences this season.
